A day trip to Drogheda

A group in Goirtin decided to arrange a trip to Drogheda on Thursday the 22 of August. We all meet at the spire at 10.30 in the morning, nine of us turned up. So we set off to Connolly station and got our tickets and a cup of coffee for the train. When we got to Drogheda it took us about 15 minutes to walk into the town. We got a tour of Saint Peter’s Church and really enjoyed it. We got to see the head of Oliver Plunkett. We then went to the Mooreland Cafe and had breakfast and tea. Then we went off for a bit of shopping. We finished up the day in the hole in the wall. It was a really great day and enjoyed by all.
