Welcome to our easiest apple tart recipe yet!
All you need is:
6 Small Pink Lady Apples
1 Roll of Puff Pastry
2 Tablespoons Icing sugar (for dusting)
Juice of One Lemon
Here is our step by step picture guide to the method….
Step One: Preheat Oven to 210 degress Celsius. Wash your apples. Remove cores from apples and slice into vertical, thin, crescent shaped slices. Then drizzle your slices with the lemon juice. This will keep your apples from turning brown too quickly!
Step Two: Prepare your baking tin. Grease and line with Parchment for Baking. Then, lay your sheet of puff pastry on the parchment. You want to fold a centimeter for the crust in at the edge the whole way around the rectangle.
Step three: Arrange your apple slices in three neat rows. We had some extra apples so we filled in the gaps in the middle with more.
Step four: Use a sieve to sprinkle icing sugar all over the apples, according to your taste. Remember, these are eating apples, you don’t need as much sugar as you do for cooking apples.
Step five: Bake your tart on the centre shelf of your preheated (210 degrees celsius) oven for 18- 20 mins, until your crust is puffy and golden.
Step Six: Serve with fresh cream or ice cream, and enjoy!
