The Goirtin Art Group are working hard to put together a new exhibition to be displayed in the North House in DIT Grangegorman this March. These photos, taken by Barry Sheehan of DIT, show the large exhibition space we will be working with. Mr Sheehan has also designed wooden exhibition units called totems which can be used to help install artworks in various configurations.
The North House of the DIT Grangegorman Campus housed the Goirtin Centre before our move to our current premises behind the Clock Tower building. It is now home to students studying Art, Visual Communications and Printing.
The exhibition space has been used for several events and shows so far, including the pictured (below) ‘Connecting the Dots’ event. The space is used for educational purposes, as well as Art Shows and Social Events which sometimes include live music.
Goirtin’s artists are thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of this exciting new space on campus. Please stay tuned for updates about the new artworks that will be created for this exhibition in the coming weeks.
