Song for Marion

Movie review from Social Outing

Marion was a teacher in a London- set comedic drama. She inspired her husband, Arthur to join a highly unconventional local choir. The choir sang outside her room and she thanked them but Arthur stuck his head out the window and told them to get lost.

While they were practicing Marion, Arthur’s wife, fell over and died. Elizabeth turned her attention to Arthur (She was a young teacher). The charismatic choir director tried to persuade Arthur that he can learn to embrace life and build bridges with his estranged son James.

They practiced and they entered a singing competition. On the first showing they did nut do very well and left. But Arthur persuaded them to go back and so he turned the coach around. They were allowed to perform again and Arthur took centre stage and they did a lot better. In the coach on the way home the old aged pensioners sang and were happy because they had a trophy for third.
